Our Principals

Rafael Peña, Jr. P.E.

President/Principal

Rafael Peña, Jr. serves as President and Principal Engineer at RPJ, Inc. MEP Consultants, bringing over four decades of extensive experience in Mechanical Engineering. As a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Florida, Mr. Peña holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Engineering degrees from the University of Florida. He is highly regarded within the engineering community for his expertise and contributions.

Mr. Peña’s notable achievements include presenting a technical paper titled “Effect of Inner Surface Air Velocity and Temperature upon Heat Loss and Gain through Insulating Glass” to the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers, Inc. (ASHRAE) in 1973. This paper was awarded the “Best State of the Art Technical Paper” for 1973 and published in ASHRAE Transaction. He is an active member of ASHRAE, the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and the United States Green Building Council (USGBC), reflecting his dedication to upholding professional standards and advancing the industry.

Adrian Peña

Vice President/Principal

Adrian Peña is a Principal and Vice President at RPJ, Inc. MEP Consultants, with over 25 years of experience in MEP consulting and construction. Adrian holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Florida International University and currently sits on the FIU Dean’s Leadership Council. His expertise encompasses mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection design, project management, life safety, and cost analysis.

Additionally, Adrian has a decade of experience as the owner of a general contracting firm, where he oversaw the construction of high-end residential homes, commercial buildings, and tenant improvement projects. His extensive background and diverse skill set make him an invaluable asset to the RPJ, Inc. MEP Consultants team, ensuring the successful execution and management of complex MEP projects.
